Eli Malinsky, the international Ambassador of the Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto was visiting Bilbao a couple of days ago. We had met in Singapore previously but he wanted to know more about the Social Innovation Park that DenokInn is promoting. He has written a very encouraging article about his stay among us. John Craig has also written an interesting piece at the Innovation Unit. Thank you all.

Charles Leadbeater acaba de publicar a través del Think Tank británico Demos, un estudio sobre la fase final de la vida que puede ser una auténtica revolución. Este trabajo demuestra la mejora de la calidad del servicio y el ahorro que se puede generar, desarrollando un sistema de cuidados especializados en el domicilio. En Euskadi, el Hospital San Juán de Dios es una referencia en este campo y el programa Saiatu está impulsando una nueva iniciativa con la misma filosofía.

Chong Chan Yau

Estos días he tenido la oportunidad de volver a Hong Kong para estudiar con el gobierno de esta ciudad-estado la mejor manera de impulsar un proyecto piloto de Hiriko. Además de nuestros socios del MIT-Media Lab y The London School of Economics, hemos sumado a esta aventura a Carbon Care Asia. Esta entidad con base en Hong Kong está liderada por Chong Chan Yau, una persona de esas que merece la pena conocer. Además de trabajar en el gobierno de la ciudad y dirigir durante varios años OXFAM en esta parte del mundo, ahora es la cara visible de la lucha por la sostenibilidad y uno de los impulsores de Dialogue in The Dark.
